It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Geri Lynn Draper. Geri was born on January 28, 1951, in Lehi, Utah to Myron and Kathleen Nelson Briggs. She peacefully departed this world on August 19, 2025, in American Fork, Utah, where she made her home. Geri was sealed with Carl J. Draper on September 11, 1970 for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple.
Geri was a true adventurer at heart, with a deep love for the outdoors and camping, always seeking the thrill of connection with nature. She dedicated 30 years of her life to the medical profession, making a positive impact on countless lives. In her community, Geri's spirit of service shone brightly through her extensive volunteer work, especially at the schools her children attended. She took pride in serving as PTA President, bringing joy and creativity to the lives of many young students, and her work with American Fork City in organizing the Pageant of the Arts for many years.
Faith was an essential part of Geri's life. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she held numerous callings across various auxiliaries, with a special fondness for her role as Stake Young Women's President. Her unwavering support for her family was evident in everything she did-her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were always her top priority. Geri's eyes would light up with joy even during her later years when her health was declining, as the laughter and love of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren filled her home.
Geri is survived by her husband Carl, her children Marede (Darrel) Grange and Clint (Megan) Draper, her grandchildren Jake (Adriene), Jace, Jess (Kiya), Haden, Shay, Lucas and Jackson and her great grandchildren Weston, McKenna, Kolt and Rylee, and her brother David (Vickie) Briggs. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Michael Briggs and a daughter Toshi.
A celebration of Geri's life will take place on Saturday,August 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the American Fork West Stake Center, 500 North 688 West, American Fork, UT.
