Geraldine (Jerri) Lund Robinson, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on May 16, 2026. She was surrounded by her family as she departed this mortal life and returned to her heavenly home.
Jerri was born on February 4, 1939 in Cedar City, Utah, to William James Lund and Gertrude Fawcett. She was raised in the town of Enterprise, where she was engaged in many community and high school activities. She continued her education at Dixie College in St. George. After a swift six-week courtship, Jerri married Burgess in the St. George Temple, and together they raised four daughters. Jerri graduated from Southern Utah State College in the field of Education, and went on to teach elementary school for 25 years. Her love of teaching and passion for education influenced the lives of many children.
She especially loved sharing her artistic skills and talents, teaching children to explore their creative abilities. She painted and sketched beautiful pieces of art that now hang in many of her family members' homes.
Her love for the outdoors was shared with her family as they enjoyed the beautiful mountains on camping trips, and explored trails and lakes throughout the western United States. She was a wonderful seamstress, and enjoyed crocheting afghans for her grandchildren and each new baby that joined the family. She preserved the bounties of the garden each year with bottles of fruit, vegetables, and jam.
Her love for music was instilled by a talented mother that taught her to play the piano for many family and church functions. She extended that appreciation for music to her children and grandchildren. Attending the local theater was a frequent date night for Jerri and Burgess. Entertaining family and friends brought joy as she welcomed many into her home for holidays and various gatherings. Her warmth and generous heart were reflected in the details and preparation for special occasions, and her devotion to family always came first.
Jerri had a deep and abiding love for the Savior, Jesus Christ, and shared her testimony with her family along with the people of Sydney, Australia, while serving a CES mission with Burgess. They touched the hearts of many students in both institute and seminary throughout their mission. Her years of service in Primary, Young Women's, and Relief Society were done with careful preparation and a faithful heart. Temple service was a highlight that continued to enrich her testimony of the gospel.
She is survived by her loving husband, Burgess Topham Robinson; her daughters, Lori Nemelka (Ken), Holly Dahle (Brett), Jenny Pettibone (Brice), and Kristin Hughlett (Jared); her cherished 13 grandchildren; and 7 energetic great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Renee Mabry and Lanell Lund.
A celebration of her life and memory will be held Saturday, May 30, 2026 at the LDS Chapel located at 5848 West 11000 North, Highland, Utah. A viewing will be held from 9:00-10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 10:30 AM. Family members are invited to the Interment at the Highland City Cemetery; followed by a family luncheon at 12:30 PM at the church.
