George Brown

September 7, 1934 — April 8, 2023

George Albert Brown, born on September 7th, 1934, in Alpine Utah passed away peacefully on April. 8th, 2023 at the age of 88.

George was the 5th child of George Alfred Brown and Alice Adams Brown. He had four wonderful older sister's, Lavon Carrol, Dorothy Nihart, Gloria Dugan and Laura Washburn. He grew up in Alpine, Utah, with a wonderful childhood exploring the mountains, streams and working on the family farm. He worked for Geneva Steel as an Instrumentation Engineer. He also created a business from the family farm called Alpine Orchards. He was a hardworking individual who dedicated himself to a job done right. George was a man of many talents, and he was known for his love of fishing, camping, woodworking, basketball, hunting, dancing, and gardening. He loved spending time with his family. His positive attitude towards life and unique laugh was infectious to those around him.

He Married Colleen Skinner on November 18th, 1954, in the Salt Lake Temple. They had three beautiful children, Russell, Cindy, and Annette. They had eight happy years together when she passed away in 1962. He Married again to MaryLee Bell in 1964 and had 5 more children together, Darren, Stephanie, Allison, Rachelle and Denise. They spent many years together raising a wonderful family but eventually divorced later in life.

He was always strong in his faith in Jesus Christ and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was important for him to share this with his family and those around him.

George will be deeply missed by his daughters, sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends, and everyone who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and generosity, and will always be remembered for his passion for life and fun stories of memories he loved to share with us.

A viewing will be held at 10:00 am followed by a service and celebration at 11:00 am in memory of George on Thursday, April 13th, 2023 at the Chappel Valley 4th Ward (600 South 500 West, Lehi, Utah).

You will be greatly missed, but your spirit will live on through the memories you have left behind.
