Gaylen Holindrake

Gaylen Hayden Holindrake passed away on June 1, 2023 at the age of 87.

Gaylen was born in American Fork to Hayden and Leah Holindrake on October 22, 1935. After graduating from American Fork High School he married Evelyn Doris Morgan.

Gaylen helped his father Hayden on the farm when he was younger working in the orchard, raising turkeys, and chickens. He worked doing deliveries in Salt Lake City. He also worked as an occasional barber. He worked for the railroad prior to his employment at Geneva Steel where he worked over 30 years until 1987 when he retired. After retirement from Geneva he worked at Hill Air Force base.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping, golfing, Jazz and Big Band music.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Hayden and Leah Holindrake; sisters Rhea Brown and Beth Scofield. He is survived by his wife Doris Holindrake and his 4 children, Cindy Robinson, Colette (Bret) Oxborrow, Kyle (Colleen) Holindrake and Gina Holindrake; (Nick Cominos); grandchildren Cody Robinson, Charis Carter, Cherice Snyder, Cabree Turley, Tyson Oxborrow, Mckell Carpenter, Clint Holindrake, Holly Chadwick, Juli Harris, Chaz Robinson, Kenzie Robinson and Alexa Cominos along with 27 great grandchildren and 1 great great grand child.

A family service will be held at the American Fork Cemetery on Saturday, June 10th, 2023 at 1:45pm.
