Florence Workman

It is with a mix of sadness and gratitude that we announce the passing of Florence Lang Workman, aged 90, who left this world on October 14, 2025. Born on March 31, 1935 to Edwin Lang and Dorothy Mabel Phillips Lang in Manitoba, Canada. Florence brought warmth and kindness to everyone she met throughout her life.

Florence was a true embodiment of humility and compassion, always thinking of others before herself. Her love for her farm and the animals that occupied it was evident in every story she told-she remembered every name, reflecting the deep bond she created with each creature. Florence cherished her time working in the garden, nurturing both plants and relationships alike

.A survivor with unwavering strength, Florence faced life's challenges with her signature motto: "Live one day at a time." This spirit resonated with those who knew her, reminding us all to embrace each moment fully.

Florence loved her family. She relished spending time with her beloved children and adored her grandchildren, ensuring that any gathering was filled with love and laughter. With a knack for cooking, she made sure no one left her home hungry, often keeping a stock of SpaghettiOs and treats just for the kids. Florence was known for her joy in taking her grandchildren on delightful rides in the wheelbarrow, creating joyful memories for them to cherish. Her trips to Gardner's Village and the Nutcracker performances were treasured highlights that she lovingly shared with her family.

She is survived by her two brothers, Robert (Joan) Lang and Wesley Lang, her children Michael (Laurel) Workman, Susan (John) Jacobs, 10 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sweet sisters Muriel and Verna,and a son Ricky ElRoy Workman.
