Elma Leila Dockstader, 78, passed away on January 9, 2023, in American Fork,

UT. Elma was born September 29, 1944 in Payson, Utah to Elmo Dockstader and Leila Cook Dockstader.

Elma Loved her family & friends very much and she loved her pets just about as much, she Loved her Ford Mustangs, Going to Wendover, Collecting Barbie Dolls and Gone With The Wind Memorabilia, She had a terrific sense of humor loved to make people smile. Elma was an incredibly generous person with a heart of gold. She would give to others even if it meant she would go without. Elma was an amazing cook and she loved to make Mexican Food.

Elma didn't get many breaks in life and she dealt with massive loss. Elma lost her younger sister Shawna when Elma was just a little girl, and then as a young adult she lost her sister Becky. Elma lost her mother in a house explosion in her early 30's, and as the years went by, she lost 3 sons, and yet she kept going. For most of her life she was independent & preferred to take care of herself. She worked as a phlebotomist for 30 plus years all the while hosting the Wendover Bus most weekends.

Elma is survived by her children: Shawna Pecenka, Shane Kelly Hughes, and Larry Scott Wertz, 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, her siblings Kelly H. Dockerstader and Nancy. Elma is preceded in death by her parents Elmo & Leila, her siblings Shawna & Becky and her Sons Eddie, Sean & Lee.

The family will hold a celebration of life in the spring. They will announce the time and place later.

Elma will be interred in the Redwood Cemetery.
