Ellen Jean Frederick Edwards

Ellen Jean Frederick Edwards, 93, of American Fork, passed away April 28, 2023 in Pleasant Grove, Utah.   Born September 10, 1929 in American Fork, the daughter of Willis Frederick and Perchy Martha Dickerson. 

She married LaVerl Ellis Edwards June 29, 1951 in American Fork and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple September 14¸1985.  LaVerl passed away December 19, 2003.  Ellen loved spending time with her husband and family.  Every member of her family benefited from her example and compassion towards her fellowman.  She was an avid game player and loved vacationing with her family.  She was a member of a bowling league for many years.  Ellen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings over her lifetime.  Her favorite calling was serving with her husband helping with baptisms. 

 Survivors include her children, Ellis (Debby) Edwards, Dineen (Tony) Meryhew, Debbie (Craig) Peacock, 15 grandchildren, 29 Great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband, her son Bill F. Edwards, parents and siblings Ann, Naomi, Ida, Wilma, and Raymond. 

 Funeral services will be held Friday May 5, 2023 at 11:00 am in the American Fork East Stake Center, 811 East 500 North.  A viewing will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, Am. Fork and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 am prior to the services at the church.  Burial in the American Fork Cemetery.
