It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Sue Erickson, age 80, who left us peacefully on May 12, 2026, in Lehi, Utah. Sue was born on August 10, 1945, in Richfield, Utah, to her parents Henry Keith and Bernice Charlesworth Peterson. She was the third and middle child in a family of five.
Sue married Michael Duane Erickson on May 4, 1963. They were sealed in the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple on March 18, 2006. They raised two beautiful daughters who were their pride and joy. Sue was a devoted family member and friend who took great joy in spending time with her loved ones. Sue had a knack for making every gathering special; whether it was sharing a meal at her favorite restaurants or enjoying a little retail therapy while shopping, she embraced each moment with enthusiasm.
As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sue's faith was a guiding force in her life, influencing her warm, compassionate nature and her deep connections to family and friends.
Sue is survived by her granddaughter Jordan Sue (Kyron Sorensen) Anderson, grandson Kacey Michael Anderson, daughter Stacie Ann (Michael Lee) Cameron and families. Also, son-in-law Bret Anderson and sister-in-law Ramona Peterson.
Preceded in death by her parents Henry Keith and Bernice Charlesworth Peterson, her husband Michael Duane Erickson, daughter Catharine Sue Anderson,siblings LeeAnn (Frank) Fuller, H.R. (Cordelia) Peterson, Don Wesley Peterson and Steven Keith Peterson.
She lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Public viewings will be held at Anderson and Sons Mortuary in American Fork on May 20, 2026, at 6:00 PM and again on May 21, 2026, at 9:45 AM. A funeral service in honor of Sue will take place on May 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM, also at Anderson and Sons Mortuary. She will be laid to rest following the service at 12:30 PM at the American Fork Cemetery located at 600 North Center Street.
