Douglas Carter

Douglas Brent Carter, 82, passed away surrounded by his family in Heber, Utah October 25, 2015. Born May 7, 1933 in Provo, Utah the son of James Delmar and Hattie Smith Carter. He married Colleen Mae Mckee September 24, 1953 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Brent loved the outdoors especially hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling, his true love was spending time with his horses and his family. He was a scoutmaster for many years. He owned and operated Alpine Upholstery for many years in American Fork, and taught his skill to many in adult education classes.
He is survived by his wife, Colleen; his children: Carolyn (Dan) Adams; Doug (Nita) Carter; Larena Carter; Bert (Suzi) Carter; Del (Susan) Carter; 13 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; his sisters Colleen Wilde and Naomi Griffiths. He is preceded in death by his father and a brother Loraine.
Funeral services will be held Thursday October 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 East 100 North, Am. Fork. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial in the Fruitland cemetery, Fruitland, Utah.
