Dorcie Jean Fackrell, born on September 9, 1951, in Vernal, Utah, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. She was born to David Lloyd Fackrell and Dorcie Rogers Fackrell. Jean became the heart of family gatherings, skillfully organizing reunions that brought joy and connection to her loved ones. Her unwavering spirit and strength were matched only by her sense of humor, lighting up the lives of those around her with her bubbly personality and knack for jokes.
A dedicated nurse for many years, Jean devoted her career to caring for others and touched countless lives in the health care field. Her journey also included an impressive array of jobs, from working in a steel company to rebuilding engines alongside her brother. Her diverse experiences speak to her adventurous spirit and willingness to tackle any challenge life threw her way.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jean was a beloved Sister and aunt, and a devoted friend to many. Her love for animals was well-known-cats and dogs were lucky to have her as their human, and they always brought her joy and companionship.
A proud veteran, Jean served in the Army from April 15, 1982, to April 14, 1989, showing her commitment to her country and embodying the strength that defined her life.
She is survived by her siblings: David Fackrell, Leonard (Vickie) Fackrell, Kenneth (Pauline) Fackrell, Ann Fackrell and Terry (David) Nutall and many neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Lynn Fackrell.
To celebrate Jean's remarkable journey, a public viewing will be held at Anderson and Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork on June 23, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on June 24, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Following that, we will gather for a graveside service at Roosevelt Memorial Park at 2:00 PM to honor her memory. The reunion meant everything to Jean, which she and cousin Raymond founded. For the first time in years Jean will be able to be with us this year. Please join us at the reunion (see the flyer on this page) Sat 27-30th and continue the celebration.
As we remember Dorcie Jean Fackrell, let us celebrate the vibrant spirit she shared with us all, her dedication to her family, and the laughter that will forever echo in our hearts. We invite everyone to come and share their stories, memories, and the joy she brought into our lives.
