Deanna Carmela Garcia

Deanna Carmela Garcia, 62, of American Fork, Utah, will always be remembered for her vibrant spirit and love for life. Born on August 8, 1964, in Tooele, Utah, Deanna was the beloved daughter of Carlos Garcia and Claudina Trujillo Garcia. She brought joy to everyone around her, finding happiness in simple pleasures like playing cards, flipping through magazines, and cuddling her collection of stuffed animals.

Deanna's warmth and love radiated through her close-knit family. She cherished her parents, Carlos and Claudina, and had a special bond with her siblings, Ronnie (Lillian) Garcia and Lisa (Kevin) Avery. Her heart was filled with love for her nieces, Sofia and Carlie, and her nephew, Devin. She was especially close to her cousins Leroy and Steve Trujillo whom she grew up with and all of the many other cousins. Deanna also held a deep appreciation for her caregivers and roommates at the Utah State Developmental Center, who enriched her life with care and companionship. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts, and uncles. 

A celebration of Deanna's life will take place on Friday, August 21, 2026, with graveside services scheduled for 11:00 AM at the Tooele City Cemetery, 361 East 100 South. Family and friends will gather to honor her legacy and reflect on the joy she brought into their lives. Let's come together to share stories, laughter, and memories as we celebrate Deanna's infectious spirit and the love she shared with all.
