David McBride "Mac" Malone, lovingly known to many as "Ghost Board Dave," 48, passed away on October 6, 2025, in Provo, Utah. He was born on July 24, 1977, in Torrance, California.
Dave was known for his love of the ocean, sunshine, the outdoors, and being an adoring husband and father. Friends often called him "Positive Energy Dave" because of his contagious spirit and the way he radiated good vibes.
Dave had a strong work ethic that enabled him to provide for his family, give back to his community and to be able to help others in need any chance he got. Even in his passing, Dave continued to give. Through the donation of his organs, he was able to bless at least three lives so far. His final act of generosity and love.
Dave had incredible luck. He was always winning contests and raffles, but what he valued most was his family. His wife and children were his greatest joy, his proudest accomplishment, and the reason he felt like the luckiest man alive. Dave and Sarah were truly soulmates and created a beautiful loving family together.
Dave is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Isom Malone; his children, Genevieve Isom, Nathan Isom Dean, Mackenzie Malone, and Michael James Malone; his father, Michael Dale Malone; his mother, Janis Adele Young Malone; his brothers, Andrei Fenner and Patrick Malone (his twin); and his sister, Paige Cashen.
Dave also leaves behind a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and in-laws who love him dearly.
Dave's legacy lives on through the love he gave, the many lives he blessed, and the light he brought into every heart he touched. Knowing him was to love him, and he will be extremely missed.
Dave's memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th at 10:00 a.m. at 4300 North Canyon Road, Provo, Utah 84604. All who knew and loved him are welcome to join as we celebrate his life and share memories together.
