Craig Richins

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Craig Dennis Richins, who left us on October 6, 2025, at the age of 65. Craig was born on May 6, 1960, in American Fork, Utah, to Robert and Fern Richins.

Craig was known for his warm, outgoing personality and deep love for people. A true local at heart, anyone from American Fork knew him-or knew someone who did. It seemed that wherever he went, he ran into a familiar face, and those moments of connection brought him joy.

Craig had a gift for coaching and mentoring youth. Over the years, he coached countless teams, supporting not only his own children but also their older cousins and friends. If there was a sport they were playing, Craig was likely the head coach. Parents still share their appreciation for the impact he had on their children, and many kids he coached still remember him fondly.

While Craig loved all sports, golf held a special place in his heart. He also enjoyed basketball and hunting, hobbies he began as a young boy with his father and proudly shared with his children and grandchildren. Sports were a lifelong passion, and Craig found great joy in passing on his knowledge and love for the game to younger generations. 

Above all, Craig loved being a grandfather. He looked forward to the family's annual camping trip to the lake with his grandkids, creating memories they will carry with them forever.

Craig is survived by his children Derrick, Trevor, Whitney, and Hunter, as well as his beloved grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Jordin, his sister Sharon Washington, and his brother David Richins.
