Craig M. Buckner, 72, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2021 in Lehi, Utah. He was born September 2, 1949 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Max M. Buckner and Farrel Silcox Buckner.
Craig lived the life he wanted - whether it was hunting and enjoying the outdoors, collecting old cars, guns, knives and rare coins, or making something with his hands - he always had an idea in his head. His most recent passion was making canes, which not only gave him something to do, but reflected his creative side. Craig worked hard his whole life and was a proud member of the Sheet Metal Worker’s Union. He was a history buff and loved to read and learn. Craig owned a tree farm with his brothers and spent countless hours there with Brett. He liked spicy foods and had an eclectic taste for odd artistic expression. He was very close with his siblings and was a thoughtful and loyal friend and neighbor.
He is survived by his daughters Kristie (Rich) Reimann and Casie (Dragos) Buckner-Munteanu, his son Tony (Kaitie) Buckner, his sister Jody (Brad) Benson, and his brothers Brett (Sheryl) Buckner, and Corey (Liesel) Buckner, as well as 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and of course his “little girl” Foxie. He was preceded in death by his wife Patsy, his parents, and two siblings: Kim Buckner, and Kerry Buckner.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Anderson & Sons Lone Peak Chapel, 6141 West 11000 North, Highland, Utah 84003.
