Connie Drew

April 21, 1950 — May 25, 2026

Connie Rae Young Drew passed peacefully on May 25, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on April 21, 1950, in American Fork, Utah, to Carl and Iris (Merrill) Young, the first of five children.

Connie attended and graduated from American Fork High School, where she excelled academically and was an active member of the Pep Club. As a teenager, she loved spending time with friends and attending dances throughout the area. At the age of sixteen, mutual friends introduced her to the love of her life, Lee Drew. From that moment on, they were inseparable. Connie and Lee were married for time and all eternity in the Logan Utah Temple on July 18, 1969. Together they began their life in a small home in Orem, Utah, building a loving family and lasting legacy. Lee passed away two years before Connie, and with her passing they  are now reunited forever.

In her 30s, Connie formed deep and lasting friendships with an incredible group of women in her neighborhood. Those friendships became one of the great blessings of her life. Together they shared laughter, supported one another through life's challenges, celebrated milestones, and created cherished memories that endured for decades. The love and loyalty they shared remained a source of strength and joy to Connie throughout her life.

A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Connie dedicated her life to service. She served faithfully in many callings throughout the years, including Primary teacher, Sunday School teacher, Family History teacher, ministering sister, and genealogy specialist. Her testimony and quiet example touched countless lives.

Connie spent her life caring for others. Her home was always open to children who needed  comfort, guidance, or simply a place to belong. Animals, too, seemed to know they were safe and loved in her care. She managed the many demands of family life with grace and patience, creating a home that was a soft place to land for everyone who entered it.

Connie also had a deep love for art and creativity. She enjoyed painting and drawing and found  great joy in sharing those talents with her grandchildren. Some of her happiest moments were spent teaching them how to paint, encouraging their creativity, and creating treasured memories together.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Drew; her parents, Carl and Iris (Merrill)Young. She is lovingly survived by her six children: Stacie (Kyle) Sanders; Sean (Teri) Drew; Steffanie (Dudley) Wicker; Shannon (David) Stewart; Shellie (Matthew) Ireland; and Seth (Brooke) Drew.

She also leaves behind twenty-three beloved grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy. Connie is also survived by her siblings: DeMar Young, Keith  Young, Grant Young, and Carlene Grey (Young).

A viewing will be held on May 29, 2026, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the LDS church building located at 250 West 600 South in Lindon, Utah, followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Connie will be interred at the Alpine, Utah Cemetery.

Connie's legacy of faith, kindness, service, and unconditional love will continue to live on in the many lives she touched.
