It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Colton Jay "Jenny" LaBrune Mayne, a vibrant young man whose light on earth was extinguished far too soon. Colton passed away on June 7, 2026 in a tragic car accident in Price Utah.
Born on February 9, 2005, Colton lived most of his life in the Pleasant Grove area, attending Pleasant Grove high school where he forged lifelong friendships that quickly turned into family. He recently moved to Price and started a plumbing apprenticeship with his cousin Jacob Mayne and was so excited about his future. Prior to his move to Price, Colton had the opportunity to spend several months in Wyoming and Arizona with his grandparents Garland and Kristy Mayne. He loved the rugged mountains in Wyoming and it was his dream to end up there one day. While in Arizona, Colton worked hard getting his GED and we are all so proud of all his accomplishments. Though his life was not always easy, he was fiercely determined to make something of himself and his life.
Colton was a true gentle giant, handsome, kind, soft-spoken, and effortlessly funny. He had the best smile, the cutest dimples and such a caring, forgiving soul. He had a profound love for the outdoors and fishing, he was especially looking forward to a camping trip with his father this next weekend and hunting with his grandpa in the fall. Football was a big part of who Colton was, not only dedicating himself as a player but also helping coach for the sophomore team. His protective, playful spirit was further reflected in his adornment of the little ones; he could always be found entertaining the kids, who naturally gravitated toward his warm energy. Colton looked forward to having a family of his own one day, a dream that beautifully reflected his capacity for love and care.
Colton is survived by his parents, Ryan Mayne and Amy LaBrune, siblings Mason Mayne, Madison Freire, Sage Mayne, Ellie Mayne, and Elsie Mayne, as well as his loving grandparents, Garland and Kristy Mayne and Ranae Bishop. Colton's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all the lives he touched during his time with us. He will be deeply missed.
Please join us to celebrate his life, share our favorite memories and exchange the kind of laughs he always brought to those around him. Celebration will be held Sunday June 28th at Rotary Park located at 400 S 200 E American Fork Ut from 5-8pm.
