Clyde Marinus Strong, 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 29, 2015 in Orem, Utah.
Born November 24, 1933 in American Fork, Utah to Clyde Marinus and Harriet Valiate Smith Strong Mower. He married Sylvia Sumner February 3, 1960 in the Salt Lake Temple. She passed away September 22, 1984. He later married Connie Petty.
Dad loved bowling, golf, and watching sports. He was a BYU fan. Dad really enjoyed his garden, and a good road trip with Connie. He loved and supported his sons in all of their accomplishments.
He is survived by his wife Connie, children: Clark (Cindy) Strong, Chris (Andrew) Strong, Mike (Jennifer) Strong, 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and sibling Dallas (Geri) Strong. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sylvia and siblings Fae, Roma Gwen, Ardus, and Samual.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 4, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 East 100 North, American Fork. A viewing will be held Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Orem Cemetery. Please share a memory at www.andersonmortuary.com.
