Carl Williams

October 2, 1950 — September 13, 2023

Carl Ray Williams, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on September 13, 2023, at his home in Tooele, Utah, at the age of 72. He was born on October 2, 1950, in Monroeville, Alabama, the oldest child of Carl and Edna Williams. He attended  highschool at J.U. Blacksher School where he played football and basketball. Carl was a proud Marine Corps veteran who served his country with honor.

Carl was a man of many talents, possessing a strong work ethic and a passion for construction management. Throughout his career in the industrial sector, he showcased his expertise in all facets of construction, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues.

During his years of traveling for work, Carl came to Utah in 1980 and met the love of his life, Lori Ann Smith, whom he quickly married. Carl was a devoted spouse, cherishing every moment spent with Lori. They were married for 42 wonderful years.

Carl enjoyed spending time going on camping trips and 4-wheeling adventures. He spent his Saturdays watching Alabama football with his dogs and his sister (who was on the other end of the phone, cheering just as loudly).

Carl will be remembered for his Southern charm, his patience, reliability, unwavering trustworthiness, and ability to solve any problem. He was a true gentleman with a heart full of compassion for others.

Carl is survived by his wife, Lori; children, Tina (Keith) Adair, Ely (Jill) Curtis, Mariah Curtis, and Austin Williams; grandchildren, Josh and Jared Adair, Zack and Troy Curtis, and 5 great-grandsons, his siblings: Albert, Peggy, and Rusty Williams.

To celebrate the remarkable life of Carl, a viewing will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E 100 N American Fork, Utah 84003. The funeral service will be held on September 20, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Sunset 2nd Ward, 721 W 2100 N Lehi, Utah 84043.
