Carl Brown

May 23, 1957 — June 26, 2025

It is with a mixture of sadness and celebration that we announce the passing of Carl Dwayne Brown, who left this world on June 26, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on May 23, 1957, in Altus, Oklahoma AFB, Carl spent his life as a devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend, touching the lives of many with his vibrant spirit and kind heart.

Carl was a free spirit, known for his infectious laughter and the ability to find joy in the simplest of moments. A dedicated veteran, he proudly served in the Army for 11 years, where he held the rank of E6 and worked as a mechanic on Apache helicopters for the esteemed 82nd Airborne. His dedication to his country exemplified his unwavering commitment to service, much like his dedication to his family and faith.

A skilled landscaper by trade, Carl embodied hard work and generosity, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. He found great joy in reading and cherished the special moments spent laughing and smiling with his loved ones. Carl was known for his bear hugs and for being a loving and sometimes whimsical uncle, bringing delight to the lives of his grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Carl is survived by his loving mother, Louise Thomas; his children, Jessica, Andrew, and Hannah; as well as his siblings, Cliff Lee (Kay), Steve (Gina), Mike (Margaret), Kerry (Rachel), and Ken. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and joy that will forever resonate with all who knew him.

A public viewing will be held at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park on July 11, 2025, at 9:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM. Carl will be laid to rest at the same location, where family and friends will gather to honor his remarkable life and celebrate the memories made together.

Carl Dwayne Brown, you will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Your spirit will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing you. Until we meet again, may you find eternal peace.
