Brent W Larson

Feb 24, 1950 — Oct 26, 2026

Brent W. Larson, 76, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2026, in American Fork, Utah, surrounded by his loving family, following complications from Alzheimer's disease. Brent will be remembered for the love he shared with his family, the lives he touched, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him.

Brent was born on February 24, 1950, in Logan, Utah, to Emery and Doreen Larson. He was the oldest of three children. His family later moved to Salt Lake City, where he developed a love for the outdoors and a spirit of adventure that would stay with him throughout his life. As a young boy, Brent could often be found heading out the door first thing in the morning, spending his days riding his bike, exploring Millcreek, and making memories with friends before returning home late in the evening. His family frequently returned to Logan to visit grandparents and extended family, where Brent enjoyed countless crazy adventures with his cousins.

During his school years, Brent participated in swim team and band, and proudly earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Olympus High School in 1968.

While attending LDS Business College, Brent met the love of his life, Charlotte, at a dance. They were married on April 20, 1973, in the Salt Lake Temple, beginning 53 wonderful years together. They were blessed with four children and spent most of their married life in American Fork, Utah, where they raised their family and made lasting memories.

Brent developed a strong work ethic at an early age, beginning with his first job as a paperboy. He spent much of his career in retail management before deciding to combine his business experience with his passion for firearms. He opened AF Gun, a business he proudly owned and operated for many years. Brent was well respected and loved by both his customers and employees, building lasting friendships along the way.

Brent was an avid and talented skier who loved sharing his passion for the slopes with his children. He took great joy in teaching each of them to ski, creating countless memories together on the mountain. All four of his children loved following his line as he led them down the slopes.

Brent's other passions included hunting trips, riding motorcycles and ATVs, working on cars, and taking his Corvette out for a drive. One of his most cherished family traditions was the annual summer trip to Bear Lake, where he loved spending time with his entire family. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren looked forward to these trips each year.

Brent was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His love for the Savior was evident in the way he lived his life and treated others. He had a strong testimony of eternal families and a deep understanding of the eternal nature of life. Brent possessed a special spiritual gift, and those closest to him often felt that the veil between heaven and earth was especially thin for him.

Brent is survived by his wife, Charlotte; his four children, Rachelle (Nathan) England , April (Shawn) Groll , Robyn (John) Cornell , and John (Megan) Larson ; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Julie (Kent) Veenendaal and his brother, Chris Larson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emery and Doreen Larson.

The family would like to thank the staff at American Fork Hospital in the ER and ICU in the last 2 days of his life for their kindness and compassionate care.

Funeral services will be held at Harbor Stake Center, 239 East 1100 South, American Fork, UT on Monday, November 2, 2026 at 12:00 pm. A public viewing will take place at the same location from 10:15 am -11:45 am.
