Bonnie McKinney

May 8, 1942 — June 3, 2025

Bonnie Kathreen Bullock McKinney, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 83, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family.

Bonnie was born on May 8, 1942, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Reed Campbell Bullock and Kathreen Elizabeth Currie Bullock. She was raised in Lehi, Utah, where she spent her formative years. On September 9, 1960, she married Raymond Jay McKinney, and together they made their home in American Fork, Utah, where Bonnie lived out the remainder of her life.

A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bonnie served faithfully in many callings. She was known for always going above and beyond, generously offering her time, talents, and heart to those around her.

Bonnie was a woman of many passions. She had a deep love for genealogy and meticulously traced her family's roots, preserving stories and histories for future generations. Her yard and garden were her sanctuary, a place where she nurtured both beauty and peace. She found joy in organizing family reunions and gatherings, creating lasting connections and cherished memories.

Her commitment to others extended beyond her home. Bonnie worked in several roles throughout her life, including as a florist, physical therapy aide, receptionist, and for many years as a bus dispatcher for the Alpine School District, where she formed some dear friendships.

Bonnie is survived by her three children: Rodney McKinney, Shauna (Levi) Bradley, and Marianne (Derek) Daniels; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings: Daniel, David, Paul, Steven, Jon, Denese, Michael, Marcie, and Joseph.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Jay McKinney; her parents; daughter-in-law, Shelley; grandson, Ruston; and siblings, Anita and Randy.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the American Fork 19th Ward, located at 1305 North 100 East, American Fork, Utah.
