Barbara Partna

Barbara Jean Fisher Partna, 95, passed away September 16, 2021, in Springville, Utah. She was born November 20, 1925, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lester Fisher and Lucy Dexter Fisher. She married Jakob Partna on July 31, 1950 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Barbara loved traveling and spending time with her family. She loved holidays and family gatherings. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She especially enjoyed working with the youth and loved having them gather at her home for firesides and social gatherings.

Barbara was an excellent cook and had many recipes that were a traditional part of family gatherings and holidays. She was also an excellent seamstress and made many beautiful clothes and costumes for her children and grandchildren. She was always very supportive of her children’s interests and activities and encouraged them to develop talents of their own choosing.

She is survived by her husband, Jakob, and her children: Gayleen Gandy, Dale Partna, Lester (Christine) Partna and Kent Partna. She has 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 8 siblings and a son-in-law, Kim Gandy.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at 11:00 AM in Alpine City Cemetery, 325 North Grove Drive, Alpine. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Anderson & Sons Lone Peak Chapel, 6141 West 11000 North, Highland. Burial in Alpine Cemetery. Please share a memory on Barbara’s Tribute Wall.
