Barbara Burch Douglass, 95, passed away on November 17, 2022 in American Fork, UT.
She was born on August 6, 1927 in Provo, UT to Claudius Burch and Annie Ferguson Burch, and lived on University Avenue before it was paved. She moved to American Fork at 7 years old, attended Harrington Elementary, and graduated from American Fork High School in 1945.
Barbara married Robert George Brandt in 1947 and they had 6 children. She lived most of her life in Utah Valley, aside from 14 years in California. She later married Gordon Elmer Douglass in 1979 and were together until his passing in 2006.
Barbara had 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Her hobbies included reading, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and quilting. She made and donated several hundred quilts to the LDS Humanitarian Center and the Linus Project.
Barbara is survived by her children, Kathryn Bonnell, Val (Carolyn) Brandt, Kurt Brandt, Alexandra Taylor, and her daughter-in-law Deborah Brandt.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Douglass; her sons, Timothy and Steven Brandt; her parents, Claudius Burch and Annie Ferguson Burch; and her 13 siblings.
The Graveside Service for Barbara Douglass will be held on Wednesday, November 23 at 11:00 AM at the American Fork Cemetery, 600 North Center Street.
