It is with both sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anna Luz Loyo, who left this world after a fearless battle with cancer on June 12, 2026. Born on December 7, 1979 in North Bergen, New Jersey to Juan Bernardo Alcoser and Anna Tenberge Alcoser, Anna was a devoted wife to Kenneth Loyo and a loving mother to her four boys: Elijah, Ethan, Xander, and Vincent.
Anna centered her life around Christ, which enabled her to enjoy life the way she wanted. Her smile was contagious and her eyes truly showed the love she had for everyone. Anna's life was a simple recipe. Its contents were only a few ingredients - love, patience, understanding, and dedication.
Anna's recipe allowed her to shine so bright, it allowed her to serve in many ways. Anna loved serving for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Anna had several callings in the church, allowing her to continuously feel our Savior's love. Anna truly led by example and really put meaning into the saying "Treat others like you would want others to treat you." Anna was one of a kind. She made people feel special and always made sure people knew their worth. Anna was a true Angel on this Earth, her service will never be forgotten.
As we gather to honor Anna's life, we invite you to share in the memories and love she cultivated during her time with us. The funeral services will take place on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the American Fork 8th Ward, located at 300 North 100 East. Prior to services, there will be a viewing on Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Anderson & Sons Mortuary - 49 East 100 North, American Fork - and again on Thursday from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at the church.
Anna leaves behind her husband Ken; her children; her father; her siblings, Matt, Ted, George, and Vanessa; and a vast community of friends and family who will forever cherish her memory. She is preceded in death by her beloved mother and her brother, Juanito.
Let us come together to celebrate Anna's life, cherish the beautiful memories she gave us, and reflect on the joy, love, and kindness she shared so freely. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on in our hearts, inspiring and uplifting us every day. As we gather, may we find comfort in one another, in the love she left behind, and in the promise that her light will never fade.
