Mae is survived: by her husband, Kay Allen; brother, George Allen (Charlotte) and his family; Five children-- Mary Lyman (Cleo), Christine Mehner (Lynn), Shauna May (Bill), Scott Allen (Dina) and Mark Allen.  She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.  Mae was preceded in death by her parents, and two grandchildren Jim Mehner and Shelley Nielson.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was a big part of Mae's life.  She served in many callings over the years.  Together Mae and Kay served a mission to California, and the genealogy library in Salt Lake, as well as being ushers at the conference center.  They were also temple workers and spent many years enjoying that endeavor.  Mae has been an anchor of faith to her family.
The activities that her family remembers her most by include:  Baking cookies and twice-baked potatoes, having loved ones over for dinner and travelling with family.  Playing games like Pictionary, Pinochle and Bridge were her favorites.  Everyone can picture her sitting in her chair reading a good book.  But her favorite activity was spending time with Kay.
