Andrea Diann Porter passed away peacefully with a book in her hand and her dog by her side on July 18, 2024, in American Fork, UT at the age of 72. She was born to Lester and Maurine Porter in Winslow, AZ, on February 4, 1952. Diann was known for her warm and giving nature that touched the lives of those who knew her.
Throughout her life, Diann found joy in crafts. Diann was known for her creativity, arranging beautiful floral and home decor. She was a masterful seamstress always willing to mend and alter clothing to help others. Any gift she gave was enhanced by her beautiful wrapping presentation. She enjoyed reading, travelling and loved shopping. Shoes were her passion. Always a trendy dresser, she was known for her silver jewelry. Four lucky dogs were blessed to share her love and companionship throughout their lives. She built a career and developed many lasting friendships as an administrative assistant. Her organizational skills, winning personality, and ability to manage events enabled her success.
Known for her generosity, Diann had a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews, sharing with them her love for life's simple pleasures. She was a connoisseur of pebble ice and Diet Coke was always within reach.
A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Diann actively served in the temple and devoted her time in various organizations of the church as she was called. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her interactions with others and shaping her compassionate spirit.
Diann is survived by her two loving sisters Marva Rawlings and Minnie (John) Leyland, many nieces and nephews, as well as great nephews and great nieces. Her absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Diann was preceded in death by: her parents (Lester and Maurine Porter), brother (Roger Porter), sister-in-law (Shirley Porter), and brother-in-law (Gene Rawlings).
Funeral services to honor and celebrate Diann's life will be held Saturday, July 27th at 12:00 PM in the American Fork 26th Ward building, located at 950 N 60 E in American Fork, Utah, with a public viewing from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM, prior to the funeral service. The family welcomes all those who wish to pay their respects and share in the memories of Diann.
