Amelia Boley

March 1, 1943 — May 11, 2025

Amelia Ann Bown Boley, 82, a beloved wife, mother, friend, and daughter of our Heavenly Father, returned to His loving arms while surrounded by her family on May 11, 2025, in American Fork, Utah.

Born March 1, 1943, in Provo, Utah, to John Martin Bown and Emma Amelia Peck, Ann lived a life of unwavering faith, boundless love, and devoted service to her family, church, and community. Her courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis and her enduring testimony of Jesus Christ inspired all who knew her.

Ann was the youngest of seven children and a cherished "miracle child" born after her mother's temple-inspired vision. Ann learned the value of hard work early in life and was shaped by her parents' musical talents and deep faith.

In 1968, Ann met her eternal companion, Kent Boley. They were sealed for time and eternity in the Salt Lake Temple and together, they raised five children- Todd, Ryan, Bryce, Glen, and Mindee- in a home filled with love, faith, and adventure. From camping in the Uinta Mountain Ranges to exploring Lake Powell, Ann created cherished memories with her family. Ann's faith in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the cornerstone of her life.

Ann's love of music was shared with many as she sang in the JAM Session trio with ward friends, performing for 23 years at church events and competitions.

In 1999, Ann was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. With remarkable resilience, she continued to move forward and said, "MS may have me, but I don't have it!" which reflected her strength.

In later years, Ann and Kent enjoyed winters in Arizona, where she painted, crafted ceramics, and wrote 13 novels. Ann found joy in her 5 children, 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, who brought light to her life.

Ann was preceded in death by her son Todd, her parents John and Emma, and siblings Norma, Jay, Dale, Benny, and Bruce, and daughter-in-law Diana. She is survived by her eternal companion, Kent; children Ryan, Bryce (Vero), Glen (Chalalai), Mindee (Michael) Summers, daughter-in-law Tamsen; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
