Althea June Collins, a beacon of kindness and a cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on December 3, 1951, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, Althea spent her life radiating love and warmth to all those fortunate enough to know her.
A devoted homemaker, Althea found joy in the simple pleasures of life-her dogs and cats, the laughter of children, and the enchanting melodies of Elvis Presley, which would often fill her home. She was known for her genuine generosity, always willing to lend a helping hand or share a kind word. With an incredible memory, Althea loved to reminisce about her adventures, including her cherished memories of trips to Disneyland, where her joyful spirit truly shone.
Althea's love for her family knew no bounds. She is survived by her son, Shawn Smith; her granddaughter, Samantha; and her two beloved great-granddaughters, who were the light of her life. She also leaves behind her sister, Mary Ann Penrod, and her mother, Mary Clements. Althea's unwavering ability to forgive and embrace others made her a beloved figure to many, and she will be greatly missed.
In honoring Althea's legacy of love and kindness, we reflect on the many lives she touched and the joy she brought to our world. Though she may have departed from this earth, her spirit will continue to inspire all those who remember her gentle heart and vibrant spirit.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Althea's life with a graveside service at American Fork Cemetery on October 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Prior to this, a public viewing will be held at Anderson and Sons American Fork at 12:45 PM on the same day.
