Alexis Villarreal Barboza, 27, passed away on April 28, 2023, in American Fork, Utah. Alexis was born in Guadalajara, Mexico to Federico Villarreal and Silva Barboza. At the age of 4 Alexis and his parents moved to the United States for a better chance of life and more opportunities. Here he went to college and got his Associates in Science at Utah Valley University.
Alexis loved helping others and his love for others was apparent in everything he did. He was upbeat and was always the first to offer a smile or a helping hand. His love for helping others reflected in his career becoming a Medical technician. He cared so deeply for the people around him. He was so kind and passionate. He made an impact on many lives. He will be forever missed.
Alexis is survived by his parents, Federico and Silva; his brother, Giovanny; and his grandmother, Vicenta Lopez. Alexis is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jesus Villarreal and Carlos Barboza; and his grandmother, Emilia Abila.
The mass for Alexis will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 12:00 PM at the St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 65 W 500 N, Orem, UT 84057. A viewing will be held Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Anderson & Sons Lone Peak Chapel, 6141 West 11000 North.
