Barbara Jean Smith Jolley

July 11, 1930 ~ August 20, 2019 (age 89)

Our kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Barbara Jean Jolley, 89, returned to her heavenly father on August 20, 2019 in Monroe, UT. She was born on July 11, 1930 in American Fork, UT to Max Samuel Smith and Ivon Adams.  
She married Dolphy Jolley on June 04, 1949. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple January 26, 1962.
She would get up every morning and exercise she loved to walk, read, travel, horse back riding, gardening, fishing & camping. She was a wonderful cook you never left her house hungry she always had something delicious cooking. During hunting season she was well known for her raisin filled cookies.  Most of all she loved being surrounded by her Family. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Barbara and her husband attended the temple often, they loved to travel all over the states and attend the different temples. Their goal was to attend all of them but was not able achieve that goal.

Survivors include her children: Greg (Sue) Jolley, Scott (Linda) Jolley, Teresa Smith, and CIndy (Kevin) Fitzgerald, 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, her siblings: Kathryn Holmstead, Linda Manning, Max Smith, Judy Harward and Vickie Jensen. Preceded in death by her husband Dolphy Jolley, parents, a son Ronald Jolley, siblings, JoAnn Iverson, Carma Beck, Maxine Smith and  a son-in-law Jim Smith.
We would like to give a big thank you to  Monroe Canyon Assisted Living for taking such good care of our Mother during her time spent there.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 26, 2019 at 11 am at Anderson and Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, 84003. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:45 am to 10:45 am. Interment at the American Fork Cemetery. Please share a memory at andersonmortuary.com.
