Our perfect angel on earth peacefully passed away in his sleep on February 1, 2012. Jorden A. Pierce, born November 26, 1991 to Arlo Elden and Joyce Jensen Pierce. Jorden was born a healthy baby but at 13 days old God chose him to be a special Angle on Earth. He wasn't able to do the things other children could do but he didn't care. Jorden loved his family and everyone that was ever a part of his life. You just had to say "Hi" to Jordy and he would smile his very powerful smile and you knew how much he loved you!

Loving Brother of Budd and Bob Orzol. Also brother to Lorraine Giampaolo and Barbra Schwetz; both whom preceded him in death.
Loving Uncle to Jennifer Orzol Perreault, Kevin Orzol, Paula Schwetz Butera , Pattie Schwetz Casella, Pam Schwetz, Debi Leardi, Donna Wegener David, Dennis and Danny Giampaolo.
Beth Christine Larson
Surrounded by her family, Beth Christine Larson, returned peacefully and with joy back to the arms of a loving Father in Heaven on January 25, 2012. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas on September 11, 1945 to Glenn Angus Allred and Hazel Lorraine Creek and moved shortly thereafter to Denver, Colorado where she grew up. On June 27,1967 she was sealed to her husband Michael LaMar Larson in the Salt Lake City Temple. Beth was cherished by Mike and was the love of his life.
Oma Young Bryant
Oma Young Bryant, age 103, passed away January 24, 2012 in American Fork, Utah. Born September 27, 1908 in Osawatomie, Kansas to Luther VanMeter and Bertha Seetin Young. She married Orlin Willford Bryant on October 6, 1944 in Kansas. Orlin passed away in 1960.
Oma was a member of Bryant Young & Rains dance group and preformed with her future husband from the late 1920's thru 1940 when Orlin was drafted. She performed with many famous people on Broadway, in Chicago, and all major cities in the United States as well as London, Paris, the Riviera, and in North Africa.
Lucile Earnest Shook Yeaman
Lucile Earnest Shook Yeaman, age 99, passed away January 24, 2012 in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Born December 8, 1912 in Hickory, North Carolina to Marcus Lee and Dora Alice Sipe Shook. She married George Lynnwood Yeaman June 15, 1958 in York, South Carolina. He passed away January 2, 1964.
Lucile was a great mom and grandma. she was strong willed and a strong minded woman. She loved her religion. Her favorite Hobby she loved to collect dishes, she also loved to play Bingo, she would always have her winning prize to give to her grandchilren when they would visit.
Violet D. Humes
Violet Delores Gines Humes, 79, of American Fork, passed away surrounded by her family January 20, 2012 in Provo, Utah. Born August 6, 1932 in Tabiona, Utah the daughter of Alies and Lova Jones Gines. She married Robert Alma Humes December 12, 1947 in Duchesne, Utah and their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 12, 1978. Violet was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings. She was a member of the local T.O.P.S. Club for more than 20 years and served as club president. She loved traveling and had her next trip planned.

Teresa Hansen of American Fork, Utah passed away on January 15, 2012 at age 55 surrounded by her husband and family. She was born March 1, 1956 to Carolyn Cole Crumb and deceased Lewis (Speed) Madsen. She was the oldest of four children. She married her high school sweetheart and best friend, Steven Owen Hansen on March 31, 1973. They were later sealed for time and eternity in the Provo LDS Temple on October 8, 1983, and cherished the 38 years of inseparable companionship.
Dutch Van Zant
Douglas Lee Van Zant, age 64, died January 9, 2012. Born August 20, 1947 in Oakland, California to Joe Douglas and Ruthella Fay Tirey Van Zant. He married Mariona McLane September 6, 1968 in American Fork, Utah. They later divorced. He later married Joyce Hancock June 22, 1985 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They later divorced.
Dutch was a great dad, grandpa, and big brother. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman & trapper. He was a decorated Marine and served a tour as a Sergeant E5 in Vietnam.
Virginia Ivie
Virginia Belle Steggell Howell Ivie (1929-2012), 83, passed away in the loving embrace of her family on January 8, 2012.
Virginia was born on January 6, 1929 in American Fork, Utah to Lewis Johnathan Steggell and Isabelle Jeanette Proctor. She grew up on the family farm. Her grandmother taught her to bake and her mother taught her to sew, skills she made use of and enjoyed throughout her life. She also loved gardening, particularly roses.
Mary Deneice Humphries Cook
Mary Deneice Humphries Cook 94 died Jan. 8,2012 in Highland, Utah. Born Feb. 8, 1917 in American Fork, Utah to Frank S. and Florence Adamson Humphries. She married James Harold Cook Sept. 11, 1937 in Boise, Idaho and the marriage was later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. She enjoyed all outdoor activities and was a member of Good Sam. Served on the AF Old Folks Committee and was a great homemaker.
James Clyde Chesnut
James Clyde Chesnut, age 85, passed away December 30, 2011 in Cedar Hills, Utah. Born December 31, 1926 in American Fork, Utah to Clyde and Pearl Lerwill Chesnut. He married Jeanelle Walker August 3, 1951 in Pleasant Grove and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
James was dedicated to his family and was an active member of the LDS Church. He served in WWII as an M.P. He was an avid gardener, loved the outdoors and traveling. He worked for UP&L for 40 years.
Marlene Tew Julian
Marlene Tew Julian, age 75, passed away January 2, 2012 in Salt Lake City. Born May 11, 1936 in Payson, Utah to Charles Eldon and Naoma Hill Tew. She married Glen B. Julian January 4, 1957 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Glen passed away February 20, 1990.
Marlene held many positions in the LDS Church and owned and operated several businesses. She retired from service at the State of Utah Substance Abuse Div. She was also a gifted home maker, cook, seamstress, and expert at crafts and handiwork.
June Williams Phillips
Illa June Williams Phillips, age 80, passed away December 28, 2011 in American Fork, Utah. Born January 26, 1931 in Vineyard, Utah to Harold Glen and Illa Laursen Williams. She married Stanley J Phillips October 12, 1950 in American Fork, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away May 1, 1993.

Robert Lee Britton, age 94, passed away December 24, 2011 in Provo, Utah. Born November 12, 1917 in Anson, Texas to Arthur Talmage and Amanda Elizabeth Watts Britton. He married Almeda Jackson Feburary 3, 1947 in Reno, Nevada and was later sealed to her August 8, 1978 in the Manti LDS Temple. She passed away December 26, 1991. He married Belva Jackson Ingram December 5, 1992 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Shane Fred Forbes, loving father and husband, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011 peacefully with his family by his side. Born December 17, 1961 to William "Bill" and Maxine Richans Forbes.
Shane was raised in Pleasant Grove, Utah and was a current resident of Spanish Fork, Utah. Shane had been a certified Arborist for the utility for many years, and he enjoyed the men of Trees Inc. He loved the outdoors, camping, gardening and motocross, but nothing compared to the love he had for his family. They always came first.
Fred Heward Mecham
Fred Heward Mecham, age 89, passed away December 19, 2011 surrounded by his family in American Fork Hospital. He was reunited with the love of his life on their 66th wedding anniversary. Born March 16, 1922 in Orem, Utah to William Wallace and Mary Della Heward Mecham. He married Ruth Furner December 19, 1945 in the Salt Lake Temple. She passed away January 1, 1983.
Fred enjoyed traveling with his family, photography and gardening. He served as a medic in the US Army, and later retired from Geneva Steel. He was active in the LDS Church.

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away surrounded by her family in American Fork, Utah on December 20, 2011. Born at home in American Fork on March 17, 1934, to Dr. Guy Smith Richards and Roxie Cornell Adams, she was the fifth of six children.
Afton Phillips Travis Sielaff
Beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, Afton C. Phillips Travis Sielaff passed away on December 15, 2011 at the age of 95, in Alpine, Utah at the home of her daughter and son-in-law. Afton was born in Dayton, Idaho on March 12, 1916. She was the fifth child of 12 children born to Vernon Moroni and Bertha Callan Phillips. 11 of those children grew to be mature adults and five of those are still surviving: Thelma Page, Beth Gray, Barbara Pattee, Callan (Marilyn) Phillips and Geraldine (Ronald) Barker.

Alejandro Mario Filippelli, age 55, passed away December 5, 2011 in Murray, Utah. Born October 10, 1956 in Ciudadela, Buenos Aires, Argentina to Mario Gabriel Filippelli and Concepcion Gloria Adelaida. He married Arlette Coral Jackson September 14, 1984 in the Jordan River Temple.
Alex was a member of the LDS Church and served an LDS mission in the Argentina Cordoba Mission. He loved his "Man Toys" and was an avid fisherman. He was a fun loving person that always made people laugh.
Martin Leo Reimschiissel
Martin Leo Reimschiissel of American Fork passed away on December 5, 2011 due to complications of diabetes. He was born on February 29, 1960 in American Fork to Leo and Merla Reimschiissel.
He graduated from American Fork High School and attended BYU where he participated in Marching Band and Jazz Band. Marty served in the Ohio Cleveland LDS Mission and also served in many ward and stake callings throughout his life. He especially enjoyed his 10 years of being a teacher in the primary.
Charles Kimbrough Cates, Jr.
Charles Kimbrough Cates, Jr. passed peacefully at River Meadows Retirement and Assisted Living in Alpine, UT on November 25, 2011.
He was born in Dallas, TX on October 12, 1925 to Charles Kimbrough Cates, Sr. and Rowena Urquhart Cates.
Charles graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and joined the Army Air Corp, after which he attended Southern Methodist University and Texas Christian University.
Heber M. Thompson
Heber Maughan Thompson, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2011 after an extended illness. He was born May 23, 1935 in Park City, Utah to James Vincent and Bessie Maughan Thompson. He spent his childhood in Salt Lake City and Richland, Washington. He graduated from Richland High School where he was on the high school tennis and football teams. He attended Brigham Young University where he was on the tennis team, served as Viking Social Unit President as well as Student Body Vice-President.
Mary Holmstead Dean
Mary Holmstead Dean was born in American Fork, Utah on April 12, 1925. She passed away November 26, 2011 after living in American Fork for all of her 86 years. She was the daughter of Earl "Hap" Holmstead and Florence Leona Hofheins, and was the fifth of six children. On June 12, 1944 she married her "knight in shining armor" Owen W. Dean. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple October 14, 1955.
Ida Wagstaff
Ida Hayward Wagstaff, 95, was born Feb 2, 1916 in Bountiful, Davis, Utah to Charles Edward & Martha Annice Hepworth Hayward, the 11th of 13 children. She married David Edson Wagstaff in the Salt Lake Temple on 27 April, 1934. He died Nov 7, 1991. She passed away peacefully on Nov 24, 2011 at Summerfield Manor in Orem, Utah at the age of 95 years & 9 months, having lived longer than any of her siblings.
