Haley Harris

Haley Melinda Harris died on September 7, 2016 due to complications of San Filippo Syndrome, a rare degenerative genetic disorder. At the moment of her death Haley was comforted by her parents and by her wonderful care-givers, who were her second family. Haley was born in Orem on October 3, 1979 to Melinda Woolf Harris and James G. Harris. She was raised with her sister and two brothers in Springville, Edmonton Alberta, and Spring Lake and spent the last thirteen years of her life living at Chrysalis group homes in Payson and Nephi. Haley touched the lives of her family, teachers, care-givers, and all who knew her.
Haley was preceded in death by an older brother, Coulter James Harris, who shared her genetic disease. She is survived by her parents, a brother, Dylan Woolf Harris, a sister, Candace Harris, two grandparents, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 13 at 11:00 a.m. in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 E 100 N, American Fork, Utah where friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services. Burial in Payson City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be sent to Primary Children's Hospital in Haley's name.
