After graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Navy. After his military service, he met and later married Janet Inez Higley. Their marriage was solemnized in the Provo Temple on April 26, 1985. They spent over 49 wonderful years together. They were the parents of Peggy Laycock, Steven (Laura) Laycock, and JeraLeigh (Jeff) Morgan. They are the proud grandparents of 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandsons. They are the joy of their lives.

Jerry was always handy with his hands. He loved to make things out of wood, which are treasured by family and friends. There will be many memories of Jerry from the work of his hands. Jerry worked at the Tooele Smelter, the Tooele Army Depot and for the US Government in Defense Contracting.

We'd like to thank Intermountain Health Care Hospice (especially Colleen) for their tender loving care and also thank our dear neighbors and friends.
