Lee W. Ralphs

"Together Again"

Lee W. Ralphs died June 2, 2010 from causes related to age and a valiant battle with Parkinson’s disease, which began in the early 1970’s. Lee was born May 24, 1919 in Ferron, Utah to DeLoss and Addie (Thompson) Ralphs. His beloved wife Donna, his older brother Varian of Orem, Utah and his younger sister Margie Rasmussen of Ferron, Utah preceded him in death.

Lee served his country in the Army Air Corp during WWII. He completed his education at Utah State University following his military service. He was an AGGIE man. He married Donna Fern Price in Vernal, Utah; the marriage was solemnized later that year in the Salt Lake Temple. Lee and Donna have 4 children, 10 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Douglas L. (Kristine Pierce) Ralphs of American Fork; Charalene (John) Whitehead of Lehi; David W. Ralphs of Newport, Kentucky; and Robert DeLoss Ralphs of Salt Lake City.

Lee’s chosen career allowed him to serve thousands of children throughout the state as both a school teacher and an elementary school principal. Lee received the most satisfaction teaching children how to read. Lee fulfilled his religious duties with diligence and faith. Lee and Donna experienced several couple missionary experiences including Cebu, Philippines.

Lee enjoyed creating wood carvings and leather workings which he happily shared with family and friends. Lee was a kind and gentle man who cherished his wife, loved his family and his Savior, Jesus Christ.

Parkinson’s disease plagued Lee for many years, nonetheless, he was able to maintain his
independent lifestyle until November of 2009. Our family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and many others who have treated him with remarkable dignity and respect during these last few months.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 7, 2010 at 11 am in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 E 100 N, American Fork. To the Lee Ralph's Family,

We wish to extend our sincere sympathy to you in your father's passing. He lived a good
long life, touching and enriching many lives in a myriad of ways.

We have fond memories of associating with your father and mother, in the schools, church
assignments, and just as very special friends.

Their home was always open for visiting, working on projects, etc. They worked hard to
build their home, and it was in a very peaceful, comfortable setting.

Lee was a very quiet, friendly, talented man. He had a way of handling situations in a firm but pleasant attitude. He was very skilled in a variety of ways.

May your choice memories, and the Lord's spirit, help to bless and comfort each of you now and in the time to come.

We would love to see each of you and your families, but due to circumstances we will not not able to do that. Know that our thoughts and prayers are in your behalf.

Memories of you at the time I worked with your mother on the Primary Stake Board, are special.

Again, our sincere sympathy to you in the passing of a very special gentleman, your
father, Lee Ralphs.

Mr. Ralphs (Lee) was my principal at Sage Creek Elementary in Springville. His dignity and poise were a great example to me as a young boy. He was always kind and caring. Thank you Mr. Ralphs.
