Robert Henri Teichert, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away peacefully on Feb 10, 2010, five days after his 90th birthday. He was born Feb 5, 1920 in Sterling Idaho, the second child of Herman and Minerva Teichert.
Robert grew up on cattle ranches in American Falls ID and Cokeville WY. He graduated early from Cokeville high school, served in the Spanish American Mission and earned a B.S. from BYU. The day after graduation he entered the US Army, training as an officer and a medic.
He married the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, Marjorie Childs, 23 Feb 1945 in the Salt Lake Temple. He earned a M.S. (USU) and PhD. (UNL). He was a principal and taught school throughout WY and UT. He always loved ranching and gardening. He was happiest with the reins of a bridle, the hand of a grandchild, a shovel handle or a good book in his hands.
He and his wife served a mission in the Washington DC Temple. He served as an ordinance worker and sealer in the Provo Temple for decades. He loved and was loved by everyone.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie. They are the parents of six children: Marsha Kinghorn, Conrad – deceased (Diane), Fredrick (Dalene), Paul (Cheryl), Robin (Dick) Knight, and Barbara (Blaine) Tew. They have 22 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Funeral services Monday, February 15, 11:00 am in the Heber North Stake Center, 550 East 500 North, Heber UT with a viewing from 9:30 – 10:40. Burial in Heber City Cemetery. Men – a red tie would be appropriate attire. Online condolences may be sent at andersonmortuary.com
