Edith was a high school classmate of my husband Ray and a good friend of mine through the Ladies Literary Club. I enjoyed being in the Gordon home many times as a member of the club and having our family picture taken by Gordon Studio. What good friends Edith and Art were to my husband and me.

As a child, some of my greatest memories are of excursions to Grandma and Grandpa Gordon's house. Living in a different state warranted week long play dates with them at their home in American Fork and precious memories derived from small but unique traditions they built with us. Every time, my grandmother knew that she was in for a nine round tournament of Huskerdu and Dominos until well past all of our bedtimes. She usually beat me without shame, which I appreciate. I remember making homemade ice cream with her and showing her the elaborate forts we had made on the side of their yard. I remember the letters she would write to me between these trips, equipped with amazing colored pencil renderings of whatever Grandpa and her had been up to at that time. I will cherish these sweet spirited letters forever. I will always remember the great love between my Grandfather and her and the stories they have told me of their youth. Most of all, I will always remember her gentle, loving demeanor that has never ceased in my lifetime. As an adult I appreciate what a strong, intelligent, kind woman she was and that she raised a beautiful, intelligent, kind woman that would become my mother. For that I am thankful. So to my Grandmother, Edith Gordon on the day of your rest, I love you and am so very thankful to be a part of the family you built.

Love,
Tess

I remember my grandmother, Edith Walker Gordon, on this day and forever. An incredible inspiration to me- so intelligent, artistic, nurturing, kind, and faithful. I am flooded with sweet memories of her offering her ear to listen, her patience as we grew, and her sweet spirit whenever needed. I will miss you dearly, grandma. I will hold the memories I have with you closely to my heart for the remainder of my life. Thank you for everything that you have taught me and the love that you gave me.

I love you sincerely,

Lauren

We are so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a strong person and has raised you girls to be the same. Over the years I have watched as she helped you girls with school for gmat, 4-H and FFA projects teaching you to always do your best and to be involved in gre. One year she even got me to enter some flower arrangements from our garden in the state fair and I actually won a prize. She loved helping people and she had a heart of gold. Last year when Macey and I had gone grocery shopping, while your mom was still quite ill from the allergic reaction that she had, she was thanking me for helping and I told her. "Rosie, I know you would do the same thing for me." She replied, "Dang right, I'd have your back" for isee. That is just the kind of person she was and I knew that she really would have my back if I needed her for lsat. She is in a position now where she can "have all our backs." As Victor mentioned the other day, "She has won the lottery!" She was a great mother and now she is your guardian angel. We will miss her.
