I’m sorry to hear of the passing of Bob. He was a great friend, and I enjoyed working with him. I have missed him ever since he left Ogden. I got to know him when he was the electrician on the communications truck and later when he was the electrician for the substation department. We use to have some great times talking over issues of the day, he really had a sharp mind. May you find peace in these troubled times. George Newton
Jackie - We are so sorry about your husband. We love you! Kalani & Johanna
Bob was the only one of my Northwestern Michigan College friends that I kept in touch with all these years. We met there in 1968 so that's a long time. We all nicknamed him "Elroy" after the major league pitcher Elroy Face. Whenever I called him on the phone or wrote him a letter, he was allways addressed as Elroy. After those Michigan days, I moved to Logan Utah to attend USU and Bob followed me there. We hunted and fished all over the Cache Valley. Bob got me a job at Gossners Cheese in Logan. When I got a call from Washington Game Department back in 1975, Bob volunteered to drive me and all my stuff to Seattle because he had a van and he'd never been that far west before. I was always after Bob to get a computer so we could keep closer in touch, but he never did. I had to rely on longhand letters written back and forth and always looked forward to getting one from him. A phone call every once in a while kept us in touch. I will miss him dearly as I always considered him one of my very best friends ever.
